Event overview
The Alpine Solstice race takes place on June 20, 2026, at Swampy Lakes Sno Park in Bend, Oregon. The event offers the following distances:
- 55K
- Half Marathon
A new 55K course runs by Tumalo Falls. The routes use multi-use trails that remain open to other users during the event. The race is held under a special use permit with the Ochoco National Forest.
Logistics and services
Registration fees vary by date: 55K was listed at $125 (Jan 1 - Mar 31) and $140 (Apr 1 - Jun 17); Half Marathon was listed at $95 (Jan 1 - Mar 31) and $115 (Apr 1 - Jun 17). Bib pickup begins at 6 AM and continues until 15 minutes before each race. Pre-race coffee is served at check in. Post-race provisions include a burrito bar and beer available to participants and volunteers.
Each finisher receives a custom finisher medal. The top three female, male, and non-binary finishers in each race receive prizes. The Ridgeview cross country/track team is the listed beneficiary. Dogs are not permitted to run with participants. The event is cupless; participants should bring a cup or bottle to use at the aid station. Nearby overnight options include motels and hotels in Bend, Redmond, and Sisters; camping is permitted in designated campgrounds or dispersed areas per Deschutes National Forest rules.
