Alvin ISD Education Foundation Turtle Race 5K & Kids 1K Family Fun Run
The Alvin ISD Education Foundation Turtle Race 5K & Kids 1K Family Fun Run takes place on February 21, 2026 in Manvel, Texas at Meridiana Adventure Cove, 5225 Meridiana Pkwy. The event includes the following distances:
- 5 Km - timed 5K fun run/walk, course number TX16115ETM
- 1 Km - kids 1K for ages 11 and under
All registrants receive a 2026 Turtle Race shirt while sizes last. All finishers receive a Turtle Race medal. The 5K is a timed race with results posted online. Age-group awards are given in standard brackets and overall awards are offered for men and women. The kids 1K awards the top three boys and girls. Strollers are welcome. Dogs are permitted if leashed and under owner control.
Registration, logistics, and fundraising
Registration prices vary by date and category, with early, regular, and race-day rates for adults, students, and kids. Early packet pick-up is available on two dates at local school and foundation offices; packet pick-up is also available on race day at Meridiana Adventure Cove. Proceeds support Alvin ISD Education Foundation grants and scholarships, a 501(c)(3). There are no refunds; if the race is canceled any registration fees are treated as donations.
