About the race
Anoka Gray Ghost 5K and Walk is held in Anoka, Minnesota, the Halloween Capital of the World. The event offers a 5K Run and a 1 Mile Fitness Walk, plus a Kids Run, with in-person starts at Franklin Elementary, located at 215 West Main Street. It’s a longtime Halloween tradition dating back to 1985 and draws tens of thousands of spectators as the race precedes Anoka’s Grand Day Parade.
A virtual 5K option is also available, letting participants run or walk in October. Proceeds benefit the Anoka Scholarship Fund, making the Gray Ghost a community-focused celebration of Halloween. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
