Apple Festival 5K

The Apple Festival 5K, the 49th annual edition, is held in Ellijay, Georgia, as the Georgia Apple Festival kicks off, presented by the Ellijay Lions Club. The event includes a 5K, a 1-mile Fun Run, and a Virtual 5K, spanning a downtown double-loop course that starts and finishes near the gym after weaving through Old Hwy 5 and McCutchen Street. There is plenty of free parking around Ellijay Elementary School, with the festival closing some roads afterward.

Unique awards are awarded for overall and age-group categories; shirts are guaranteed for early registrants. It's part of the Black Bag and Clover Glove race series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
