About the race
Blackout Night Runs is a night trail race series held at Fort Tuthill County Park in Flagstaff, AZ. Runners choose from 27K (16.8 miles, run as two loops), 13K (8.56 miles), or 6K (4.12 miles). The course winds through ponderosa pines at elevations around 7,000+ ft on Soldiers and Highlands Trails, offering single-track and forest paths with expansive, starry-night views.
Aid stations are every 4 miles, with water, Gnarly Fuel, snacks, and fruit. The event emphasizes marked trails, drop bags, and a 12:00 am cut-off, with "double down" medals for completing Blackout and Big Pine.
