Dam Good Run
The Dam Good Run, held at Lake Pleasant Regional Park in Morristown, Arizona, is an annual trail running event featuring distances of 40K, 26K, 13K, 4 miles, and 2 miles. A highlight of the race is crossing the New Waddell Dam early in all events except the 2-mile. The longer courses explore newly constructed trails along the lake's shoreline, with the 40K route ascending to Yavapai Point, offering stunning lake views and potential sightings of wild burros.
The 40K includes a unique crossing of Pipeline Cove via a guided raft or a short swim with a personal flotation device. The event emphasizes environmental responsibility with cupless aid stations and relies on volunteers for support. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
