2025 Autumn River Views 5k & 10k
The event takes place on November 16 at Carderock Recreation Area on the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal Towpath in Potomac, MD. Distances offered:

The event counts toward the organizer's Year-Long 5k, 10k and Back of the Pack Series, and toward the Fall Series. A virtual race option is available. Walkers are welcome. The event is chip timed; finishers receive a medal and a technical (Dri-fit) event shirt.
Course and logistics
Both routes run out-and-back along the C&O Canal path on a light gravel dirt trail with minimal elevation gain. Water stations: the 10k has four stations at approximately miles 1.55, 2.7, 3.5 and 4.65; the 5k has one station at approximately mile 1.55. Gatorade will be available at some stations. Restrooms are located by the main parking lot. Packet pickup is available at the event; there is no on-site race registration.
Registration fees listed in the event text: 5k early fee $30 (increases to $35 after Sept 30), 10k early fee $45 (increases to $50 after Sept 30). Price will increase by $5 on race morning. T-shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before Nov 5; additional shirts will be available afterward on a first-come, first-served basis. Results will be posted live on Athlinks and final results with series points will be posted the Monday after the race.
