Badwater Cape Fear

Badwater Cape Fear is an ultra running event held on Bald Head Island, North Carolina, featuring two race distances: 50 kilometers and 51.4 miles. The race begins with a 12-mile warm-up on the island's car-free, narrow roads and maritime forest trails, followed by either one or two round-trip runs along the wild, secluded sandy beach between Cape Fear and Fort Fisher. The course offers stunning views of the Frying Pan Shoals to the east and the Cape Fear River marshlands to the west.
