Bare Buns Desert Run

About the race

Bare Buns Desert Run is a 5k desert trail race held at Shangri La Ranch in New River, Arizona. The course winds around the ranch, climbing a hiking trail, along a dry wash, and through much of the property. It is promoted as the only nude run in AZ, with racers encouraged to run in nothing but tennis shoes, though nudity isn’t required.

The event is chip-timed with disposable RFID chips worn on the left ankle. Race registration includes a day visit to the ranch with pools, a café, clubhouse, game room, and extra hiking and socializing opportunities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
