Event
The Bay Breeze race takes place on February 14, 2026, at San Leandro Marina Park (14001 Monarch Bay Dr, San Leandro, CA 94577). The event offers the following distances:
- Half marathon
- 10K
- 5K
All races start and finish at San Leandro Marina Park. A remote runner registration option is also listed.
Course and support
The course follows a mostly-flat bayside trail that rarely strays more than a few feet from the water. The half marathon has a course time limit of 4.5 hours and requires runners to meet a checkpoint at the 4th aid station (mile 10) by the event cutoff. Water stations are provided and are listed on the course maps.
Approximate water station locations and supplies:
- 5K: mile 1.25
- 10K: miles 1.5, 2.9, 3.25 and 4.68
- Half marathon: miles 1.5, 2.9, 6.5, 10.2 and 11.6
Water stations will be stocked with water, sports drink, gels, pretzels and candy. Participants who need water more frequently are advised to carry a bottle or hydration pack. A Hiker Division is offered for half marathon participants who expect to take longer than the course limit; hikers in that division are official finishers but are not eligible for race awards.
Timing and awards
All races will be professionally timed using bib-tag timing. All participants receive custom finisher medals and custom shirts (cotton and tech options available). Age group awards are given to the top three finishers in five-year age categories, with fewer categories for younger ages. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
