About the race
BE THE LIGHT 5K RUN/WALK is an inaugural charity race in Texarkana, Texas, organized by Fearfully and Wonderfully Made to raise awareness for NICU families during NICU Awareness Month. The event features a 5K course beginning on the CHRISTUS St. Michael Hospital campus and winding along the Sisters' Trail from Galleria Oaks Drive to Robin Lane and back, finishing at the hospital after dark.
Participants are encouraged to glow, embracing a “be the light” theme. A separate BE THE LIGHT Lantern/Candle Release is also offered. Proceeds support NICU families through their NICU journey and beyond.
