About the race
Bear Trap Trail Races, the 8th annual event in Tooele County’s Settlement Canyon, Utah, offers three loops that form Marathon, 23K, and 10K courses. Runners traverse forested single-track, rugged dirt roads, exposed ridges, and rolling foothills with sweeping views of Tooele Valley and surrounding peaks. Loop A is about 6.2 miles, Loop B about 8.6 miles, and Loop C about 8.2 miles, marked Purple, Blue, and Red.
The Marathon combines all loops plus a summit out-and-back to Tooele Peak (9,600 ft). There are no on-course aid stations beyond Start/Finish, though two aid stops exist at miles 9.6 and 18.3. USATF-sanctioned, with modest top awards and a low-key, competitive vibe. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
