The 5K course runs through live oak lined streets of the Beau Chêne subdivision. The 1 mile course includes street running and cross-country running on Beau Chêne Country Club’s Oak Golf Course. The race benefits the Northshore Food Bank of Covington.

Registration fees vary by date: the 1 mile is listed at $25 (early), $30 (late), and $40 on race day; the 5K is listed at $35 (early), $40 (late), and $50 on race day. T-shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed by October 31. Online registration closes November 25; packet pickup is available the day before and on race morning. Registration fees include a post-race party behind the clubhouse with food (fresh fruit and jambalaya noted), drinks, music and family activities. Drinks and coffee are provided by local partners. A food drive is paired with the event; participants who bring five cans are entered into a raffle. If weather prevents an on-site race, the event may convert to a virtual race and no refunds will be issued. Awards are planned for overall and age-group finishers in both events.
