About the race
The Beer City Half™ Sacramento is a festive running event held in Old Sacramento, featuring a half marathon, 10k, 5k, and a 1-mile Jedi Run walk. The course showcases scenic landmarks including the Tower Bridge, Drake's Barn, Riverfront, and the American River Bike Path. Beyond running, the event offers unique beer-themed activities such as the Beat the Beast Beer Mile, The Beermazing Race, and a Beer Stroll.
Participants enjoy local craft beer tastings, a custom finisher's medal, and a commemorative glass. The event also includes a post-race party called SHINDIG with music, food, and games, plus a free Beer Trolley connecting key breweries. It celebrates running, local brews, and community fun.
