Event
The Big Cork Wine Run 5k takes place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Big Cork Vineyards, 4236 Main Street, Rohrersville, MD. The main event distance is 5k and the 5k registration is open to ages 1 to 99. A volunteer-and-run registration option is offered separately and is open to ages 21 to 99. Registration includes a ring-spun cotton t-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal that doubles as a wine stopper, a chip-timed race bib, online results, and a wine pour.
Course and logistics
The course starts and finishes at the winery and includes a tour of the vineyards. It is a cross-country style route with some areas of uneven terrain and is laid out as two laps; participants may notify the timer if they plan to complete only one lap. Packet pickup is available on race morning beginning an hour before the race. The race is professionally timed and scored by J3 Timing and results are posted online at J3Timing.com.
Age group awards are offered; the top three finishers in each age category receive a custom award. Competitive runners must start with the first group to be eligible for age-group awards. Minors may participate with a discounted registration but do not receive a wine glass or wine pour. Only service dogs are allowed.
