The Big Tesuque Trail Run : Oct 11, 2025, Santa Fe, NM

The Big T is a trail race organized by the Santa Fe Striders. It takes place at Aspen Vista on Hyde Park Road (NM-475) in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The event benefits Wings of America, a nonprofit supporting running programs for Native American youth and teens. Two event options are listed: a main trail race and an early-start trail run/walk. Entry is open to ages 18 to 99 and the listed entry fee is $50.

Course and race information

The course is an up-and-back on the Aspen Vista Trail in the Santa Fe National Forest. It climbs about 6 miles and 2,000 feet to the summit of Tesuque Peak and then returns for a round trip of 12 miles. Elevations on the course start near 10,000 ft and reach about 12,000 ft. The route follows FS-150, a closed dirt-and-rock road. There are two aid stations (at roughly Mile 3/9 and at the summit). The race is cupless, so participants should bring a bottle to refill. Parking at Aspen Vista is limited; additional parking is available at Vista Grande and at Ski Santa Fe (downhill from the start). Early bib check-in is available the day before at the Running Hub, 1100 Don Diego Ave, Santa Fe. Prizes are planned for the top three overall and for top finishers in 10-year age groups. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
