Event overview
The Bigfoot 200 is a point-to-point ultramarathon held on and around Mount St. Helens, Washington. The course distance is 207.9 miles and the route is continuous non-stop; runners are timed from start to finish and any sleep time counts toward the overall time. The event dates listed for upcoming editions include August 14–18, 2026, and August 13–17, 2027. The race takes place on National Forest lands and the start area is at Marble Mountain Sno-Park.
Course and support
The route passes volcanic terrain near Mount St. Helens (erupted in 1980), lava fields, long mountaintop ridgelines, mountain and lake viewpoints, deep old growth forests, misty summits, and multiple stream and river crossings. The course elevation change is substantial, with listed elevation gain of 45,563 feet and elevation loss of 46,880 feet.
Support on course includes multiple full aid stations and designated sleep stations, plus a light breakfast aid station at the start location. An interactive course map and an elevation profile are available through the organizer for detailed route and waypoint information.
