About the race
Volcanic is Go Beyond Racing’s Mt. St. Helens race in Washington state, offering a grueling 50K+ and a 25K option.
The 50K course follows the Loowit single-track to circumnavigate the volcano, featuring large boulder fields, river crossings, the blast zone, and steep, sometimes rope-assisted drainages, all set in dense forests with ever-changing volcanic vistas. It totals about 7,400 feet of elevation gain and loss, and while the distance runs roughly 32 miles, it often feels like a true 50-miler. The 25K shares iconic features with about 3,300 feet of gain/loss.
