About the race
Bigfoot Running Company hosts festive running events in Plano, usually at Oak Point Park (Amphitheater). The Gingerbread Lane 5K & 10K Dallas offers three distances: Kids Dash (~50 meters), 1 mile, 5K (3.11 miles), and 10K (6.22 miles) on mostly paved trails with possible mixed surfaces through parks and greenbelts. The holiday atmosphere features a costume contest, a live DJ, gingerbread cookies and milk at the finish, and a finisher medal and holiday shirt for all participants.
On-site awards include overall and age-group trophies, plus the coveted Bigfoot Trophy. Perks include group discounts, youth pricing, referral refunds, on-course aid stations, snacks, and a celebratory rally. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
