Event overview
The BIRCHWOOD 5k + FUN RUN takes place on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at South Mastick Picnic Area in Fairview Park, Ohio. The event includes multiple distances:
- 5 km Birchwood 5k Run
- 1 mile Walk
- 1/4 mile (400 m) Seedlings & Sprouts Shuffle (age 5 and under)
This year's event is a costume run. Masks are not allowed during the race and costumes must be school-appropriate. The event is open to all ages and abilities. Registrants receive an official event T-shirt (not guaranteed if ordered after October 22), finish line goodies, and entry into prize and award categories.
Location and race details
South Mastick Picnic Area is located off Valley Parkway in Rocky River Reservation, south of Puritas Road/Mastick Road in Fairview Park, OH 44126. Events run simultaneously; registrants should choose one event at registration and not switch on race day. Entry fees listed are $30 for the 5k and 1-mile walk, and $15 for the Seedlings & Sprouts shuffle. Awards include top male and female overall and male and female age-group awards for: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, and 50 & over.
