Black Squirrel Half
The Black Squirrel Half Marathon is a challenging 13.5-mile trail race held in Lory State Park near Fort Collins, Colorado. Featuring approximately 2,000 feet of elevation gain and loss, the course offers a scenic perimeter tour of the park with stunning views of Horsetooth Reservoir, Fort Collins, the Great Plains, and the Rocky Mountains. Runners traverse 12 miles of dirt singletrack and 1 mile of dirt road, including a steep 1,500-foot climb to the course apex at 7,000 feet, followed by a technical descent and rolling terrain to the finish.
