Fall Equinox Marathon
The Fall Equinox Marathon, held in northern Colorado, offers a challenging yet scenic point-to-point course through the Buckhorn and Poudre River Canyons. The marathon features a hilly start followed by approximately 21 miles of downhill running, limited to 300 participants. Alongside the marathon, there is a half marathon celebrated for its beautiful fall scenery along Colorado’s only designated Wild & Scenic River, the Cache la Poudre, and recognized as the best half marathon in the Mountain West region.
A 5-mile downhill race also takes place, all finishing at a festive meadow near the Rocky Mountain foothills with food, beverages, and celebration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
