Bleak Midwinter Endurance Run

Bleak Midwinter Endurance Run, now in its 4th year, takes place January 24, 2026 at Sac River Mountain Bike Trails near Springfield, Missouri. Runners can enter 12-, 6-, 3-, or 1-hour timed events on a 4.15-mile loop of moderately technical single-track with rocks and roots, weaving through hardwood forests. Each loop gains about 400 feet of elevation, and after the first lap participants may run the loop in either direction.

An on-site Base Camp Pavilion provides the sole aid station, warmth, and crew space. Proceeds benefit the Missouri Baptist Children’s Home; all registered runners receive swag, and dogs on leashes are welcome. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
