About the race
The Boar's Head Turkey Trot 5K is a Charlottesville Thanksgiving tradition benefiting UVA Health Children's. The 44th annual event features a 5K Run/Walk through the Charlottesville area, starting and finishing at Boar's Head Resort; the course winds through neighborhood streets and is notably hilly. A Tiny Turkeys 1/4 Mile Dash welcomes younger runners.
All 5K registrants receive a long-sleeve unisex T-shirt. The race is run on Thanksgiving morning and proceeds support children’s health services. The event is stroller-friendly, pets are not allowed on the course, and timing is provided by Blue Ridge Timing. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
