Event overview
The Tyrone Race Series presents Book It for Huntingdon Library on November 15, 2025 in Alexandria, PA at the Rails to Trails Alexandria Trailhead (Alfarata Station). The event includes the following distances:
- 5K Run
- 2 Mile Walk
- Kids Sprint (50-100 meter dash)
The event includes student divisions for participants 18 and under and a children’s sprint for ages 9 and under. Awards are planned to follow the races. The event benefits the Huntingdon County Library.
Course, registration and fees
The course is an out-and-back on a rolled crushed limestone section of the Rails to Trails Alexandria Trailhead. The trail is described as extremely flat. Official timing is provided by Miles of Smiles Timing Services. The start and finish lines are located at the trailhead (Lower Trail, Alexandria, PA 16611).
Early registration is available online; registering by October 31 guarantees a long sleeve shirt. Registration includes a long sleeve shirt and a race goodie bag (Youth S-L and Adult S-4XL). Sample fees listed by the organizer:
- 5K and 2 Mile adults early: $30; day-of: $35.
- 5K and 2 Mile students early: $20; day-of: $25.
- Kids Sprint with shirt early: $15; without shirt: free; day-of: free (no shirt).
If the event is canceled, proceeds will be given to the Huntingdon County Library. The organizer may postpone the race in the event of inclement weather. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
