The Twilight Race takes place at Lakemont Park, 700 Park Avenue, Altoona, PA on Wednesday, December 31, 2025. Events and entry fee listed are:
- 5k Run : $26
- 2 Mile Run : $26
- 2 Mile Walk : $26
Price increases after December 12, 2025. The first 700 registrants are guaranteed a long sleeve t-shirt. Race participants receive a pass for Lights on the Lake; participants may use their race bib to join the walk portion without separate registration.
Course, rules and logistics
All courses run through the lights on the lake at Lakemont Park and use a loop format. The event notes that the distances are not exact: 5k runners complete 3 laps and 2 Mile runners complete 2 laps; it is each participant’s responsibility to keep track of laps. The 2 Mile Walk is walk-only; running is not allowed in that event. Participants must wear their race number and will have color-coded bibs by event. Headsets and pets are not permitted. No race registration reimbursements are offered.
Race packet pickup is available at the Blair Regional YMCA on December 30 and December 31, with additional pickup at the race site. Awards include medals for overall top finishers and top three male and female finishers by age group; winners are asked to remain for the awards ceremony. Volunteers serve as road marshals and receive a race t-shirt and food. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
