Boulder Beast

Located in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, Boulder Beast is a rugged PA Trail Dogs race featuring a 24-mile course with about 6,000 feet of vertical gain, plus a 25K option for climbers who prefer fewer miles. The route treks central Pennsylvania terrain, including a famous boulder field along Goat Path, Lightning Ridge, Gut Check, Black Diamond, Crossover, Fleming Way, Chestnut Flats and the Gorge Trail—beginning and ending at the Castanea Township Fire Company picnic grounds. Camp and parking are free on-site, with no reservations needed; Friday night pre-race party and a post-race picnic complete the experience.
