The Hyner View Trail Challenge is a trail running event held at Eagles Nest in Hyner, PA on April 18, 2026. The event includes two distances:
- 25K
- 50K
Race details
The 25K course includes three major climbs and three major descents with about 4,000 feet of vertical gain. The 50K course includes five major climbs with about 6,500 feet of vertical gain and uses revised sections introduced in 2019. Both courses feature single-track trails, stream crossings, and scenic vistas. The 25K and 50K have hard cut-offs at specific mile points; runners who do not meet those cut-offs can be pulled or directed to the shorter course. The 25K cut-offs are set to allow a 9 hour finish and the 50K cut-offs to allow a 10 hour finish. The 50K is part of the Rocksylvania Trail Series and has qualifying standards; road race results are not accepted as qualifiers for the 50K.
Registration opens in May via Ultrasignup and entry is limited to the first 1,000 runners for the 25K and the first 400 runners for the 50K. There are no refunds, deferrals, bib transfers, or bandits permitted. The site has no electricity or water; an ice trailer is provided near registration. Spectator access is limited to a few aid station locations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
