The Slate Run Trail Race is scheduled for June 6, 2026 in Slate Run, PA. It is the 8th annual running of this trail event and offers these distances:
- 25K
- Half Marathon
Registration opens December 16, 2025 via UltraSignup. The event is open to a limited field (first 250 runners/hikers or a May registration deadline, whichever occurs first). Before registering, entrants should note the event policy: no refunds, no deferrals, no switches, and no bandits.
Course and cutoffs
The course runs in the remote, rugged mountains of Tiadaghton State Forest, passing through the Algerine Wild Area and the Red Run sections of the Black Forest Trail. The route features technical single-track, streams, and viewpoints. Both 25K and Half Marathon runners follow the same trail for the first 9 miles. At the Manor Fork camps, Half Marathon runners follow the road to the final aid station and the finish. 25K runners continue on trail along a streambed and climb Old Supply Trail. There is a mile-9 cutoff: runners must reach the Manor Fork intersection by 12:00 noon or they will be directed onto the Half course. Half runners must be through the Manor Camp intersection by 1:00 pm or they will be removed from the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
