Breakaway 5K

The Breakaway 5K is a running event held in Old Orchard Beach, Maine, starting at the corner of Walnut and Milliken Streets. The mostly flat and fast course follows Milliken Street and West Grand Avenue to Ocean Park, finishing at The Brunswick on the beach. This setup offers runners a great chance to achieve personal records.

The event includes the main 5K race and the Marilyn & Nat Golzbein Memorial Fun Run for children 12 and under. Participants enjoy a post-race continental breakfast and awards ceremony at The Brunswick. Pre-race packet pickup is available the day before, with race day parking in a nearby public lot.
