Event and course
The Bridge Burner Ultra takes place in Canon City, Colorado on October 25, 2025. The event offers these distances:

The main course is a single loop that starts in Centennial Park and follows the Arkansas River and the granite-blasted Tunnel Drive tunnels. Runners climb to a high point at 7,109 feet with views of the Royal Gorge, Sangre de Cristo Mountains, and Pikes Peak. Much of the route uses singletrack in Royal Gorge Mountain Park. The course crosses what the event lists as the highest bridge in the United States and finishes with a descent through Temple Canyon.
Logistics and support
Elevation gain figures provided for each course are: 10K 575', 35K 2,800', 50K 4,200', and 35 Mile 4,400'. Aid stations are described as well stocked and include Tailwind, Muir Energy Gels, banana bread, snacks, fruit, soda, and hot cooked items such as bacon, quesadillas, potatoes, and pierogis. Crewing is allowed only at designated crew-accessible aid stations. Pacing is prohibited. All aid stations are reported as accessible by 2WD vehicles. Parking is available at Centennial Park and on the north side of the Arkansas River. Packet pickup is scheduled at Centennial Park the day before the race and on race morning. Registration closes October 22, 2025. The closest airports listed are Colorado Springs (about 55 minutes drive) and Denver (about 2 hours drive).
