About the race
Bridge & Trestle 17 Mile Run is a free out-and-back running event on the Virginia Creeper Trail, starting at Alvarado Station in Abingdon, Virginia. The 17-mile course runs from Alvarado Station to the Abingdon Trailhead, offering scenic rail-trail views along a well-known route. Hosted by the State of Franklin Track Club, it is part of the club’s Trail Series and Long Distance Series.
A cup-less policy returns this year, with collapsible cups provided at packet pickup and participants able to use their own hydration systems at aid stations. Awards are given to overall male and female finishers, and finish-area refreshments include hot beverages and snacks. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
