Event overview
The Bulldog 5K Sleigh Ride Fun Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, December 20, 2025 in Mount Vernon, WA. The event follows a full 5K route around the Del Trail (Skagit Playfields), which is named for MVHS's long time distance coach. Participants receive a T-shirt and a Santa hat. Ornament medals will be awarded to top finishers in each age group. A team of MVHS cross-country runners will lead the group of participants at the start, and water and hot drinks are provided after the run/walk.
Registration, fees and proceeds
General registration for the main event is listed at $30, and a separate free entry is available for current MVHS cross-country team members. Registration deadlines are shown for each entry type; registration must be completed by December 13 to receive a T-shirt. Proceeds go to the Non-School District Mount Vernon Athletic Fund to benefit runners attending XC summer camp. Donations are accepted. The event is not sponsored by the Mount Vernon School District, which assumes no responsibility for the conduct or safety of the activity.
