About the race
The 2026 Cal Tri Richmond event takes place at Lake Anna State Park in Spotsylvania Courthouse, Virginia, about 60 miles from Richmond and 72 miles south of Washington, D.C. This multi-sport event offers 18 race options including Sprint and Olympic distance triathlons, RunBikeRun, SwimBike, SwimRun, and standalone swim and run races. Youth athletes aged 7-17 can participate for free in various formats, promoting family-friendly competition.
The course features freshwater lake swims with wetsuit-legal water temperatures averaging 77°F, alongside biking and running segments.
