Canyonlands Ultra : event overview
Canyonlands Ultra takes place on October 25, 2025 in Moab, Utah, on Behind The Rocks Road. The event is organized by Mad Moose Events and is part of the Run Moab series. Beginning in 2025, Canyonlands Ultra is the kickoff event for the Triple Crown of Moab series. The event offers multiple distances:

- Marathon
- Half Marathon
- 15K
Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race at the start line.
Course, logistics and services
Courses use Moab trail terrain that includes sandy washes and technical double track, with views of the La Sal mountains, sandstone domes, and expansive canyons. Elevation varies by course; the highest listed point is about 5725 ft and some courses descend to roughly 4516 ft. Reported total elevation gain for selected courses includes: Marathon 2608 ft, 50K 2644 ft, 50 Mile 5220 ft, and 100K 7828 ft.
Aid stations are cupless: runners must bring a reusable cup or hydration bladder to use water dispensers at every aid station. Mad Moose Base Camp provides free camping for race participants and their family or crew only. The event also offers charity bibs with fundraising minimums (for example, 100K and 50 Mile $1,000; 50K and Marathon $750; Half Marathon $500).
