Cape Fear Marathon

The Cape Fear Marathon & Half, hosted by Badwater® and presented by Mount to Coast, takes place on Bald Head Island, North Carolina. This scenic race offers both full marathon (26.2 miles) and half marathon (13.1 miles) distances, running entirely on the island’s car-free, narrow roads and including a unique stretch along the beach around Cape Fear. The start line is at Old Baldy, North Carolina’s oldest lighthouse, with aid stations at key points including the Bald Head Island Conservancy.
