Carnival Frolic 13.1

Website

Carnegie Carnival presents Carnival Frolic 13.1, a Mardi Gras-style running fundraiser in Decatur, Alabama, benefiting the Carnegie Visual Arts Center. The centerpiece is the Carnival Frolic 13.1 Half Marathon, a USATF-certified course that winds through Decatur’s historic districts, along the Tennessee River, and through Point Mallard Park. A Half Marathon Relay option allows up to four teammates.

For those seeking a shorter distance, the event offers an individual 5K. Finishers receive shirts, carnival swag, and medals. Cash prizes are awarded to overall half-marathon winners.

Post-race celebration at the Carnegie Visual Arts Center features beignets, red beans and rice, and beverages. Family-friendly carnival activities and Mardi Gras atmosphere. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
