CASA Superhero 5K

The CASA Superhero 5K and Kids 1 Mile is a family-friendly running event held at Percival's Island Trail in Lynchburg, VA. The event features a professionally chip-timed 5K run and walk, a 1-mile fun run for children 12 and under, and a 0.0 mile "Couch Crusader" option for virtual participants. The flat, out-and-back course follows a scenic paved trail with bridge crossings, ideal for setting personal records.

Participants receive themed race shirts or capes, swag bags, and finisher medals, with awards for top 5K finishers and costume contest winners. A festive finish line celebration includes refreshments, a sponsor village, and family activities. The event supports CASA of Central Virginia’s mission to advocate for children in foster care.
