Event overview
The 13th annual Castle Hills Turkey Trot takes place on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2025, at Castle Hills Village Shops & Plaza on King Arthur Boulevard in Lewisville, Texas. The neighborhood event features a charity 5K run/walk and a 1 mile fun run. All money raised goes to charity; over the previous twelve years the event has donated about $370,000 to feed the hungry, clothe the poor, house the homeless, provide clean water, support orphans, and assist other causes. The event is held outdoors, rain or shine, and no refunds are provided for evacuations due to severe weather.

Race details and logistics
Registration fees apply; children aged 4 and under may register for free. Race shirts are limited and are distributed on a first-come basis; organizers state they do not order extra shirts. Packet pick-up is scheduled for Wednesday, November 26 at The Grind Burger Bar Patio, 2500 King Arthur Blvd, Lewisville (Castle Hills Village Shops). Awards are planned by category: overall male and female in each distance; top three male and female in each 5K age group; top male and female in each 1 mile age group. Age categories range from 0-9 up to 80+. Past and current race results are posted online. Sponsors include local businesses listed as platinum, silver, bronze, and family supporters.
