About the race
Celebration of Life 5K Walk/Run is a community event in Melissa, Texas, staged during the organization’s Celebration of Life Cancer Awareness Event weekend. The in-person 5K walk/run starts at Melissa Lake Park (4101 Liberty Way) on Saturday, July 18, 2026, with a 3-mile option for those who prefer to walk in their own neighborhoods. The event invites participants of all ages (4-80) to join in a supportive, life-affirming atmosphere that promotes regular exercise while raising awareness for cancer, sarcoidosis, diabetes, and COVID-19.
