Logistics, course and policies
The 5K is an out-and-back course that starts and ends on the vineyard property. Terrain includes grass, gravel and paved road; runners pass through a grassy stretch at the beginning and end, with the majority on paved road. Strollers, baby joggers, roller blades, skates, bikes, and pets are not allowed on the course. Headphone use is discouraged. Race numbers must be worn on the front and visible and must not be exchanged.
Packet pickup is scheduled the days before the race at Charm City Run locations in Bel Air and Timonium, and on race day at Boordy Vineyards. Participants 21 and over receive a souvenir wine glass; non-alcoholic beverages are available. Other participant amenities include a cotton/poly race shirt, post-race snacks, and access to a post-race party with live music and food vendors. Awards are given to the top three overall male, female, and non-binary finishers and to top three in listed age groups from 14 & under through 70+. Virtual race swag can be picked up or mailed; virtual results are not eligible for overall awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
