Event details
The Chasing Santa race takes place on December 21, 2025, at Claremont Beach in Long Beach, California. The event offers multiple distances:

- 10K
- 10-Mile
- Half marathon
The official start location is 5400 E Ocean Ave, Long Beach, CA 90803. Early bib pick-up is available the day before at Sports Basement Long Beach, 2100 N Bellflower Blvd.
Course and logistics
All races use out-and-back routes that begin and finish at the same location and remain on the pedestrian side of the beach path. Courses are not closed to the public. On-course support includes two water stations, restrooms, and clearly marked turns (chalk, runner-turn signs, and flags). Participants are asked to wear their race bib on the front of their shirt. Gear check is available at the registration tent; participants should bring their own bag. Overall first-place medals are awarded to the top male and female in each distance. Race results and photos are sent by email the day after the event; race photos are free. Parking at the start lot is $2 per hour (lot parking begins at 8am) and street parking is free; participants in longer distances may use the Passport parking app. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
