Event overview
The Cheraw 24 Hour Run is a timed 24-hour trail running event at Cheraw State Park in Cheraw, SC, held Feb 21-22, 2026 as part of the Mountaineer Rumble series. Runners may complete as many laps as they choose during the 24-hour period. A limited number of campsites are available during registration.
Course, support and awards
The course uses the Turkey Oak Trail - Outer Loop, a 4.3-mile loop with about 190 feet of elevation gain and a smooth trail surface. The route passes through stands of pine, turkey oak, blackjack oak, and hickory trees. Wildlife that can be seen along the trail includes red-cockaded woodpeckers, deer, and various species of birds.
An aid station and drop bag area are located at the completion of each loop, providing access to race aid and personal gear without leaving the course. Typical ultra race snack foods are available at the start/finish aid station; event food listed includes burgers, pizza, hot dogs, pasta, bacon, and pancakes. Awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers, and any runner who completes 100 or more miles receives a custom 100-mile buckle.
