COACH ARCHIE DURAN MEMORIAL 5K RUN & 1 MILE FUN WALK
The event is scheduled for April 12, 2026 in El Paso, Texas at Nations Tobin Park, 8831 Railroad Dr. It is the 7th annual memorial walk/run and honors the life and legacy of a former Jefferson and Irvin High School teacher and coach who died in a bus accident. Net proceeds benefit the Coach Archie Durán Memorial Fund, which provides scholarships to El Paso area students and funds for teachers to purchase school supplies.

Registration is $30 per individual or per team member; online registration carries applicable fees and registration fees are non-refundable. Pre-race packet pickup is Saturday, April 11 at Hoppy Monk, 4141 N Mesa St, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Race day pickup and registration occur at the start line from 7:00 AM to 7:45 AM. All participants receive a T-shirt; the first 200 registrants receive a finisher medal and additional swag. Awards include a trophy for overall male and female in the 5K and medals for the top three finishers in male and female age groups (14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80 & over).
