Course, support and policies
The main ultramarathon loop is a scenic 10-mile course that alternates direction each lap for 100-mile runners; the 50-mile follows the same loop. The terrain includes single-track trails, dirt paths, and occasional technical sections along riverbanks and natural habitats. Fully stocked aid stations provide hydration, nutrition, and medical support. Pacers are permitted for the 100-mile (after lap midpoint) and 50-mile events under specific rules: pacers must register, sign a waiver, pay a fee, wear an official pacer bib, meet age requirements, and only enter or exit at aid stations. Animals are not allowed at the event. Camping is available at a limited number of park campsites on a first-come, first-served basis. All finishers receive a custom finisher medal. The race implements Leave No Trace and other eco-friendly practices and provides volunteer roles such as course marshals and aid station support.
