The Colt 45 Trail Race is organized by A1 Ultra Events at Colt Creek State Park, 16000 State Rte 471, Lakeland, FL. The event offers multiple distances on marked trail loops within the park on November 22, 2025.
- Colt Double Malt - 60 miles (four 14-mile loops)
- Original Colt 45 - 45 miles (three 14-mile loops plus a 3-mile starter loop)
- Colt Silver - 45K (two 14-mile loops)
- Colt Mini - 14 miles (one 14-mile loop)
Course and services
The race is held entirely on the trails of Colt Creek State Park, an area described as home to bald eagles, white-tailed deer, alligators, otters, gopher tortoises, and fox squirrels. Each 14-mile loop includes three aid stations. Handcrafted finisher awards will be given to finishers, and awards will also be presented to top finishers in each distance. A post-race picnic is provided, and there are opportunities to remain at the finish area to watch later finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
