Event
Conquer The Beast takes place in Hubbard, NE on May 23, 2026. Registration closes Wed, May 20 at 11:59 PM CT. The event follows the "Last Beast Standing" format: runners must repeatedly complete laps until only one runner finishes a lap. The final runner is recorded as the winner; all other competitors are listed as DNF (Did Not Finish).
Race format and course
Each required lap is 6.706 km (4.167 mi) and must be completed in less than one hour, which corresponds to a pace of 100 miles per 24 hours. The course is a 4.167 mile loop that encircles Kramper Reservoir using established trails. The reservoir is surrounded by two separate trails - one for hiking and biking and another for horseback riding.
Location and facilities
The race is held at Danish Alps State Recreation Area. The area includes a 219-acre lake and about 520 acres of parkland. Camping options include Electric Plus, Basic and Equestrian Electric Plus sites. There are 34 gravel pads with electrical hookups, two ADA cement pads with hookups, seven gravel pull-through pads with hookups, one ADA cement pull-through pad with hookups, and 22 Basic sites. Campers have access to water, modern restrooms and showers. Reservations for half the campsites can be made up to 180 days in advance during peak season (April 15 to Oct. 15); other sites are first-come, first-served via self-service payment envelopes.

Discounts listed are 25% off for military and first responders and 10% off for donors; proof must be sent within 24 hours. Swag items include a race T-shirt, a speed cup and a mini portable power pack. Each participant receives a race medallion. Winner details are to be determined.
