Event
The Corn to Creek 25K is a trail running event held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, in Wilderness Park, Lincoln, Nebraska. The event is organized by Friends of Wilderness Park. Two race distances are offered:
- 25K
- 10K
Proceeds are directed to Friends of Wilderness Park to support trail maintenance and community activities. Registration for the event closes the day before the race.
Course and race rules
The 25K is a mostly non-repetitive loop that uses a large portion of the park trail system. The 10K will include a loop plus an out-and-back section. Surfaces are approximately 10-15% crushed limestone and 85-90% dirt singletrack. Expected elevation gain is negligible overall - about 100 feet for the 10K and about 200 feet for the 25K. The 25K will have three aid stations, one at the halfway point with restrooms. The start and finish area will be well stocked and have restrooms; the 10K will use the start/finish area as its mid-course aid station.
Key rules include a cupless policy (runners must carry their own fluids), no pets, pacers, strollers, or unauthorized mechanical travel, and a closed course requirement. Top three male and female finishers must provide GPX verification before prizes are awarded. Participants should follow posted park trail rules and leave no trace.
