About the race
Cruel Jewel 100 is a 104-mile ultramarathon set in the Chattahoochee National Forest of the North Georgia Mountains, with the 100‑mile start/finish at Camp Morganton near Blue Ridge, GA. The course comprises about 92 miles of trails and 12 miles of mountain roads, featuring 20 aid stations and roughly 33,000 feet of both gain and loss. Runners traverse technical single-track through ferns and old-growth hardwoods, tackle steep ascents and descents, cross a historic steel bridge over the Toccoa River, and enjoy ridge-line scenery including the Dragon’s Spine.
Designed for experienced trail runners, it serves as a qualifying race for Western States and Hardrock lotteries, with strict safety cutoffs and entry requirements. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
