Event overview
The Bigfoot Boogie 5K takes place Saturday, November 8, 2025, in McCaysville, GA, and Copperhill, TN. The course is 3.1 miles, all paved, crosses the state line twice, includes one hill, and runs alongside the Toccoa River through two downtowns. Start and finish are at different locations. The event is part of the Riverwalk Run Series, which includes the Trout Trot 5K and Walk the Line 5K; participants who complete all three receive a challenge item. The race is an official Peachtree qualifier.

Logistics, awards, and other details
Shirt and bib pickup is scheduled at Burra Burra on the River (Friday) and at the McCaysville Visitor Center (Saturday). A virtual 5K option is available; virtual shirts and medals are mailed after the event and a small donation is requested to offset shipping. Awards include overall male and female and age-group winners (0-9 up to 80+); all finishers receive a medal. Parking is free across from McCaysville City Park. Water is available at the finish; participants are asked to bring their own on-course. The event proceeds benefit the nonprofit McCaysville Business Association and the event runs rain or shine.
